The fabric

Pure cotton, woven crisp

Plenty of budget bedding is polyester or a poly-blend. Ours is always 100% cotton, and it feels it.

OEKO-TEX® certified Pay in instalments

Premium, without the premium price

Direct-to-you. No retail markup

Same feeling and comfort. Same honest making. We simply left out everything you shouldn't have to pay for.

Direct, never resold

We sell straight to you. There's no department store adding a wholesale margin on top of the price.

No brand tax

You pay for the cotton and the craft, not a designer label stitched over the top and charged back to you.

The same feeling and comfort

Long-staple cotton, a 300 thread count, a true percale weave. It's the quality the premium names charge £300 and up for.

The same feeling and comfort. For a fraction of the price.

The quality truth

Thread count, decoded

The biggest number on the label rarely makes the best bed. Here's what actually decides how percale feels: crisp, cool and made to last.

Ours: 300
200300400500600+

The crisp, breathable sweet spot (around 200 to 400)

Above four figures, the count is only reached by stacking plies or packing threads so tight the fabric turns heavy and warm. That is the opposite of what percale is for. More is not better here; the right number is.

A genuine 300 count

Percale is a plain, over-under weave, so there is no plying to pad the number. Ours is a true 300 in fine 60s cotton yarn: smooth to the touch, light enough to stay cool, and softer with every wash.

"Egyptian" is just a place

A loosely policed label, often stretched to mean more than it does. What matters is long-staple fibre, exactly what we use, so the country name is marketing, not better sleep.

A number you can trust, and a weave that earns it.

We start with 100% long-staple cotton. Longer fibres, spun into a smoother, stronger yarn, woven into a crisp, dense percale with a cool, matte finish. Then we send it to a lab and check it, because "natural" should mean something you can prove. OEKO-TEX® certified, tested for what you don't want against your skin all night. No synthetics, no shortcuts.

So much "luxury" bedding charges you for the label, and plenty of it isn't even natural cotton underneath. We'd rather you paid for the fabric: the same long-staple cotton, the same honest making, without the designer markup. Better sheets shouldn't cost a small fortune to feel like one.

Couple embracing in bed, showcasing intimacy and connection on soft bedding.

We think sleep is the truest kind of self-care. The bed you fall into after a loud day should feel like a retreat, not an afterthought. Better sheets, better sleep, and a better morning after.

A note from our founder

Why I started Bedable

When I looked at what a premium cotton bedding set costs (sometimes £300 or more), I couldn't see where the money was going. Not into better cotton. Into the label, the shop floor, the markup.

So we built Bedable to sell the same long-staple cotton, woven to the same quality, at a price that reflects the fabric and nothing else. Free shipping, free returns, and a full year to be sure of it, because if we're right about the quality, we've nothing to hide.

The same feeling and comfort. For less. That's the whole idea.
